The Escomatic D5-D6 TWIN was created to revolutionize production. The tool head, rotating at 12,000 rpm, accommodates two or three cutting tools that can be controlled independently, depending on your needs, for greater flexibility and process simplification. The cut workpiece can be machined simultaneously on two counter-operations (DUAL machining system). The two counter-spindles are mounted on a cross table equipped with two CNC axes moving at speeds up to 40 m/min. The cut workpiece can be machined in DUAL mode by three axial spindles and one transverse spindle at a speed of 18,000 rpm, for ultra-high-performance secondary machining operations. All of this is assisted by a new, dedicated Pegasus/Beckhoff CNC control system specific to the machine, for greater flexibility and ease of use.
